Surnali ! version 1

Surnali !VERSION 1
  • Dosa rice -1 cup 
  • Urid dhal-1/4 th cup 
  • Grated coconut-1 cup
  • Laayi (puffed rice)or beaten rice ( phova ) - 1cup
  • fenugreek seeds-1tsp
  • Curds-1cup
  •  Jaggery -Marble size  (can vary according to d sweetness )
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 th tsp
  • salt to taste
Soak rice, urid dhal , fenugreek seeds for 3 hrs n grind to a fine paste with laayi or phova ( previously soaked in water for 5 mts ).. grated coconut,Curds , jaggery and turmeric powder .. remove d batter,add salt  n ferment overnt  ! 

Heat a dosa pan , smear oil ,pour a laddle full of batter ..dont spread too much..simmer d flame or else d base may blaken .. 

cover with a lid ..n cook on one side only !

Tastes gr8 with ghee or butter !
