Instant Rulava /Bombay rawa/Upma Rawa/Semolina Shevai with Mushroom Songa with Ground Masala .(.Mushrooms cooked in Spicy dry Masala )



Instant Rulava /Bombay rawa/Upma Rawa/Semolina  shevai with Mushroom  Songa with Ground Masala /Mushrooms cooked  in Spicy Dry Masala 

  • Bombay rawa /semolina -2 cup's
  • water- 4 to 5  cup's 
  • Grated coconut-1 cup heaped 
  • salt to taste
Method
Dry roast semolina till it gives an aroma n keep aside

Grind grated coconut to a very fine paste .

in a kadai, boil water, add salt , roasted semolina n ground grated coconut  ,stir continuously till it forms a dough .. apply little oil to the palms n knead the dough well n form into balls n steam it for 10  to 15 mts 

Grease Idiyappam/shevai   mould ,add the steamed ball n press it gently ! 

Spread on a wet squeezed cloth . 


Mushroom  Songa with ground masala .(.Mushrooms cooked  in spicy dry Masala )

  • Mushrooms- 1 packet 
  • Onions - 1 huge or 2 small  
  • Coriander seeds -2 tsp ( not roasted )
  • Roasted dry red chilly - 3 short n 8 long
  • Tamarind - Tamarind seed size
  • Salt to taste ..
Method 
wash n clean the mushrooms n chop them .. 


Grind roasted dry red chillies , coriander seeds n tamarind to a very fine paste !

In a kadai add 2 tsp oil , chopped onions and fry till reddish brown , add the ground paste and fry till the raw smell goes ,add salt , mushrooms n a very little water  , keep covered n cook till done !
