Twin Millet ( Little Millet and Barnyard Millet ) Maharastrian Masale Baath with Seasonal Fresh Pigeon Peas n Fresh Flat Beans adding Goda Masala .

  • Little Millet/Same Akki ... 1/2 cup
  • Barnyard Millet/ Oodhalu ..1/2 cup 
  • Water ..2 cup's 
  • Fresh Pigeon Peas /Thogri Kayi ..1 cup 
  • Fresh Flat beans , washed n chopped to 2 inch pieces .. 1 cup  
  • Oil .. 2 tsp
  •  Mustard seeds .. 1 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds .. 1/2 tsp
  •  Hing/Asafoetida ...1 pinch 
  • Peanuts..1 tblsp 
  • Onion ..1 chopped 
  • Tomato ..1 chopped 
  • Garlic flakes ..4 finely chopped or crushed 
  • Ginger Grated ..1/2 tsp
  •  Bay leaf ..1 
  • Whole green cardamom ..2
  •  Black Pepper Corns ..2 
  • Cloves..2 
  • Red Chilly powder ..1/2 tsp
  •  Coriander powder ..1/2 tsp 
  • Goda Masala ... 1 tsp heaped
  •  Garam Masala ...1/2 tsp
  •  Coriander leaves chopped ..1 tblsp
  •  Grated coconut ...1 tblsp 
  • Ghee ... 2 tsp
  •  Salt to taste . 


Method
 In a kadai dry roast Little Millet n Barnyard Millet just till warm on sim flame ... Cool n wash to remove stones n dirt .. 
In a pressure cooker  add oil, splutter mustard seeds ,then add cumin seeds n hing , stir it, then  add peanuts n roast for a while , add bay leaf , cloves , whole cardamom, black pepper corns, crushed garlic cloves, grated ginger n saute for a few mts . then add chopped  onion n fry till pinkish , add tomato chopped n cook till mushy . add all the powders stir it n then add  water , dry roasted Millet's , fresh pigeon peas n chopped fresh flat beans , coriander  leaves, grated coconut , salt n ghee ... mix well n pressure cook for 2 or 3 whistle . 
Serve hot with fresh curds or any raitha .
