Muga Saarupkari ( whole Green Gram Rasam )  -Version 2 

  • Whole Green Gram ... 1/2 cup 
  • Water ..3 cups 
  • Green chilly .. slit 3
  • Salt to taste 

1 st Seasoning
  • Oil ..1 tsp 
  • Mustard seeds ..1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Hing -2 pinch 
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 th tsp
  • Curry leaves -1 sprig 
  • Dry red chilly ..1 broken 
  • Onion 1 , chopped 
  • Tomato -1, chopped 

2nd Seasoning
  • Oil -1 tsp 
  • Garlic Flakes crushed - 5 to 7 

Method 
Wash the whole  green gram  n pressure cook it ... mash it lightly .. 

In a kadai add oil , splutter mustard seeds, add cumin seeds , stir for few seconds , then add the curry leaves, hing, broken dry red chilly n chopped onion , fry till reddish brown . Then add chopped tomato n cook till mushy ,then add  the cooked Whole green gram with slit green chilly , turmeric powder n  salt . cook for sometime ..Then in a small pan add oil n add crushed garlic flakes n roast this till brown . Pour over the cooked green gram n mix well .
