Ukde Seeth , Terrace Grown Twin combo - Pathal Pathrado , a semi solid gravy n Left over Pathrado crispy Tawa roast .
Terrace Grown Pathal Pathrado
Soak rice n thur dhal for 2 hours .
Remove fiber from the leaves if any as small tender ones usually dont have n wash .
Chop the leaves finely .
Grind grated coconut, roasted dry chillies,hing n tamarind to a fine paste ... then add soaked rice n thur dhal n grind to a medium paste ( neither coarse nor fine ) without adding water . Can sprinkle water if required .Remove the the batter and add chopped pathrade leaves n salt . mix well .
In a thick bottomed kadai add oil n then splutter mustard seeds. Then add urid dhal n methi seeds ,roast till brown , then add the above batter , water and cook it covered n check in between n also stir ,so that it does not stick at the bottom n cook till the tender leaves are cooked ... Add water n adjust salt as needed .
Note : The consistency has to be medium . neither thick or thin .
Left over Pathrado crispy Tawa roast
- Left over Pathrado Slices - 4 to 6
- Rice flour -1 tblsp
- Coconut oil as needed to tawa roast
MethodTake the left over pathrade slices n roll them over rice flour .
Heat a tawa , add in little oil n place the rice flour rolled pathrade n shallow fry till crisp on both sides .
