Mango Idlies

Mango Idlies


  • Raw Rice- 1 cup 
  • Mango pieces- 2 cups 
  • Grated coconut -1 cup 
  • Jaggery - marble size (adjust according to sweetness )
  • Green Cardamom pod- 1 
  • Salt to taste .


Method 
Soak raw rice in water for about 2 hours . 

Grind grated  coconut, jaggery pieces, green cardamom, mango pieces to a paste n then add raw rice n grind to a coarse paste ( like idly rawa consistency ) . Remove the batter and add salt . mix well . 

No need to ferment the batter .

Grease an idly mould n pour the ground batter in each mould n steam for about 20 mts 

Serve hot with ghee/butter .
