Ghosale /Ridge Gourd Bajji

Ghosale /Ridge Gourd Bajji 
  • Tender Ridge gourd/Ghosale - 1 
  • Oil-2 tsp 
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves -1 sprig


To Pound
  • Grated coconut-1 tblsp heaped 
  • Green chilly -2 or as per the taste 
  • Tamarind -Tamarind seed size
  • Salt to taste 


Garnishing 

  • Hing/Asafoetida water -1 tsp 


Method 
Wash n peel the skin of ridge gourd n chop into tinny pieces . 

In a kadai add oil n splutter mustard seeds n add curry leaves , then add chopped ridge gourd pieces along with little water n cook till soft . 

Pound grated coconut, green chilly n tamarind ,smoothly . 

Add the pound mix to the cooked ridge gourd pieces along with salt n with hands smash well . Add hing water n mix well .
