Shevai , Bibbe Songa with ground masala (Tender Cashew nut spicy ground masala gravy ) , Jeev Kadgi Bajo ( Bread Fruit Besan Fries ) n Frothy Filter coffee served on Plantain Leaf !

Shevai ( version 2 ) , Bibbe Songa with ground masala (Tender Cashew nut spicy ground masala gravy ) , Jeev Kadgi Bajo ( Bread Fruit Besan Fries ) n Frothy Filter coffee served on Plantain Leaf !

Rice Shevai -version 2 
  • Rice-2  cups ( i used a special rice shevai tandulu here ) meant only for preparing it so no need for adding grated coconut . 
  • Coconut oil -for greasing
  • Salt to taste .

Method:
Soak the rice in water for around 6 hours . 

Grind it to a smooth paste adding required amount of water. 

In a kadai add the ground batter n heat it ... stirring continuously till all the water evaporates n the dough becomes dry .

Make balls of the dough and steam it for 15 to 20 minutes. 


Grease the shevai mould with coconut oil n place the steamed balls when still warm n press it ,then collect the emerging shevai on a greased plate held underneath. .. repeat for all the remaining steamed balls .  

Spread a clean wet cloth ,n place the shevai's on it ... 



Bibbe Songa ( Tender cashew nuts cooked in spicy ground gravy ) Version 2 


  • Tender cashew nuts- 30 counts
  •  Potato- 1 Small 
  • Salt to taste


To grind

  • Roasted dry red chillies - both long n short ( 5 n 5 )
  • Raw Coriander seeds- 1 tsp
  • Tamarind- Chick pea size 


Seasoning

  • Oil - 3 tsp
  • Onion chopped - 1 


Method

Wash the tender cashew nuts n soak it in boiled water for about 1/2 an hour ... Drain n remove the skin n keep aside

Wash n Pressure cook potato..Cool n peel the potato n cut into 1 inch pieces .Keep aside

Grind all the ingredients meant to grind to a fine paste .

In little water add these tender cashews n  cook till soft !

In a kadai add 2 tsp oil , chopped onions and fry till reddish brown  , add the ground paste and fry till the  raw smell goes ,  add salt ,  boiled cashew nuts , boiled chopped potato n give a quick boil .


Jeev Kadgi Bajo ( Bread Fruit beasn fries)  !
  • Breadfruit - 1 
  • Besan /Gram flour-1 cup
  • Hing /Asofoetida - 2 pinch 
  •  Cumin seeds-1 tsp
  • Water as required to prepare the batter .
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste
Method 
Remove the outer skin of the Bread fruit n cut it into flat evenly thin slices.

In a bowl , add gram flour, hing, salt , cumin seeds n just enough water to prepare the batter ( Batter shouldn't be too thick nor watery ) 

 Dip the sliced bread fruit in the above batter n deep fry on both sides till golden brown .
