Varahi Cheppi Thousali N Godi Thousali ! ( Barnyard Millet unsweetened n sweetened cucumber Dosa )

Varahi Cheppi Thousali N Godi Thousali  ! ( Barnyard Millet unsweetened n sweetened cucumber Dosa ) 
  • Varahi/ Barnyard Millet - 2 cup's
  • Grated Jaggery- 1/2 to 3/4 th cup
  • Grated coconut- 11/2 cup 
  • Tender Grated cucumber- 1 cup
  • Salt to taste 
Method
Soak Varahi /Barnyard millet in water for two hours. i soaked it overnight 

Peel the cucumber skin , remove the seeds by slicing it n grate it ..keep it aside for sometime n then squeeze it well ... retain the water . 

Grind the soaked varahi , grated coconut , jaggery with the retained cucumber water . Remove the batter add salt n then grated cucumber ..mix well ... make the batter as dosa consistency .

Heat a dosa tawa, smear oil n pour a ladle full of batter  n spread evenly not too thin or thick ..close  the lid n cook ..drizzle oil on the corner n roast on other side .

Serve with Ghee/butter .



For Cheppi (Unsweetened thousali ) dont add jaggery  . rest method same as the above 

Serve this with chutney .
