Amtekayi Thili Saaru (Sour Hog plum Rasam )
- Sour Hogplum-2
- Coriender seeds-1 tsp
- Grated coconut -3 tsp
- dry red chilly -2 or 3
- Clove-1
- Jaggery -small piece
Turmeric powder-1/4 th tsp - Mustard-1/4 th tsp
- cumin seeds-1/4 th tsp
- salt to taste
Seaoning
- Oil -1 tsp
- Mustard-1/2 tsp
- curry leaves-1 sprig
- hing-a pinch
Method
Crush Hog plums n cook with 1/2 a glass of water .. cool it ,squeeze the cooked hog plums n strain it !
In little oil roast chillies, clove, mustard, cumin seeds,coriender seeds, grated coconut n turmeric powder ..cool n grind it to a fine paste ..
Boil the strained water with jaggery .. add salt n ground paste n give a quick boil n then season !
