Pressure cook toor dal with 1 tsp of oil . It has to be cooked well ,then churn it . Add slit green chillies with salt n boil well .Add water for desired consistency ( medium , neither too thin nor too thick )
In a seasoning pan add oil or ghee , Add mustard seeds , when they splutter add torn red chillies n curry leaves...add this to the cooked dhal n then add hing water . Mix well

To Grind to a semi coarse paste
Wash the capsicums n pat them dry . keep the stock intact . Chop the top of the capsicum n retain it . Remove the seeds .
Grind all the ingredients meant to grind to a semi coarse paste adding very little water .
Stuff the ground masala paste inside the chopped capsicum n close the top of the capsicum .
In a kadai add oil , splutter mustard seeds n then add curry leaves n fry for a while . Add chopped onions n fry till pinkish red .
Then gently place the stuffed capsicums one by one n pour all the left over masala over it . Add very little water . Close the kadai n cook on a low flame till the masala is dry n done .
Kadgi Gujjo /Raw Jack fruit Cooked in Coconut Based Gravy
Grated coconut ..1 cup
Roasted dry red chillies..4 /6
Tamarind Tamarind seed size
Coriander seeds... 1 tsp ( roasted in little oil )
Oil 2 tsp
Garlic flakes crushed...6
Salt to taste
Wash the raw jack fruit pieces , remove the skin of jack fruit seeds n chop it .Pressure cook both with little water just for a whistle or two .Dont over cook n make it mushy
Grind grated coconut , roasted dry red chilly, tamarind to a fine paste n just before removing the masala add roasted coriander seeds n just grind for few seconds .Add this ground paste to the cooked stuffs , add salt n boil well n then give the seasoning .
Nendrabale Kela Gojju /Kerala Banana Gojju
- Kerala Banana fully ripened ..1
- Green chilly..2
- Grated coconut..2 tsp
- Sugar...1/4 th tsp
- water 1/4 th cup
- Salt to taste
Mustard seeds..1/2 tsp
Hing/Asafoetida ..1 pinch
Dry red chilly..1
Curry leaves ..1 sprig
Boil the kerala banana n mash well with green chilly ,then Add grated coconut , sugar ,salt to taste and water , mix well n then season it .
Pagila Podi/ Kantola fries
Wash the Kantola n slice them .
In a bowl add the red chilly powder, turmeric powder, rice flour , hing ,salt n sliced pagila .. mix well . keep aside for 5 minutes .
Run the marinated pieces over rawa .
Heat a tawa , smear little oil n shallow fry on both sides till crisp.
