Raw Mango Thil Curry or Mensukayi ! ( Udupi Kannada brahmin delicacy )
Method
Fry the dry chillies, coriender seeds, urid dhal, thil with little oil.. cool n grind it with coconut n tamarind ..
Boil raw mango with salt ,n jaggery .. add the ground masala n boil again ..
season with dry chillies n mustard
Note :..thiz gravy shoulnt be too thick or watery !
- Sweet Sour Mangoes -4
- Jaggery -2 marble size
- Dry chillies -5 ( i use 3 long n 2 short )
- coriender seeds-1 tsp
- Urid dhal-1/2 tsp
- Thil-1 tsp ( levelled )
- grated coconut-1/2 cup
- Tamarind-1/2 marble size
- 2 or 3 dry red chilles
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard
