Thirthalli Dosa

Thirthalli Dosa
  • Dosa Rice -2 cup's
  • Urid Dhal - 2 fist
  • Chana Dhal - 1 fist
  • Thick Phova /Beaten Rice -1 fist
  • Methi /Fenugreek Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Rice Flour - 1 fist
  • Sugar - 1tsp
  • Salt to taste


Method
Wash dosa rice, urid dhal, chana dhal. thick phova , methi seeds n soak altogether for about 4 to 6 hours and grind to a very fine paste . ( i ground in a grinder ) .

Remove the batter and add rice flour n mix well so that no  lump's is formed .

Add salt n ferment overnight .

Next day add a tsp or 2 of sugar  to the batter n mix again .


Heat a dosa tawa , pour a ladle full of batter n spread , add oil at the edges n roast on both sides .

Serve hot with chutney . 

Note : Tasted this Dosa in Malnad in a place  called Thirthalli at a GSB Hotel n hence the name of the dosa :)
