Ghosale Bharth / Ridge Gourd coconut based Masala Gravy
- Tender Ghosale/Ridge Gourd ..1
To Grind
- Grated Coconut ..1 cup
- Roasted Dry red chilly ...2 or 3
- Tamarind ..Tamarind seed size .
- Salt to taste
Garnishing
- Finely chopped onion ..1 tblsp
- Finely chopped green chilly ..1
- Finely grated ginger ..1/2 th tsp
Method
wash the ridge gourd n remove the skin ..Chop it n cook till soft in little water .. allow it to cool ( retain the cooked water n use while grinding the masala )
Grind grated coconut , roasted dry red chilly n tamarind to a paste n then add cooked ridge gourd n grind again .. Remove it ..add salt n mix ..
Just before serving do the garnishing .
Note : The consistency should not be too thick nor thin ..Should be medium .
