Nanchane Vodi Usli (Sun dried Ragi Vodi Usli )


  • Nanchane /Ragi Vodi..1 cup


For seasoning 

  • Oil..2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds..1/2 tsp
  • Urid dhal..1 tsp 
  • Curry leaves ..2 sprig 
  • Green chilly chopped .. 2 
  • Hing /asafoetida..a pinch 
  • Sugar ..1 tsp 
  • Salt to taste 


Garnishing 

  • Grated coconut..1 tblsp 


Method .
Wash the ragi vodi n soak it in enough water for about an hour till soft but not mushy . 

Drain all the water n roughly mash the ragi vodi . Add salt n sugar to it , mix n set aside for a while . 

Add oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, add urid dhal n fry till brown , then add chopped green chilly, hing, curry leaves n fry for a second . Add the roughly mashed vodi , sprinkle little water n cook till done ... Garnish with grated coconut .
