Avrekalu Kodbale !

Avrekalu Kodbale ! 
  • Avrekalu /'Hyacinth Bean -2 cups 
  • Rice flour-1 cup
  • Chiroti rawa-1/4 th cup
  • White sesame/thil-1 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds/Zeera-1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder-1 tsp
  • Baking soda -a pinch
  • Hing/Asafoetida-2 pinch 
  • Hot oil - 4 tsp
  • salt to taste 

Method 
Peel n soak Avrekalu for 2 hours n then de-skin them .
Pressure cook de-skinned avrekalu for 1 whistle ... drain it well n grind it . 
To the ground paste add rice flour, chiroti rawa, thil, cumin seeds, chilly powder, hing, baking soda, salt, hot oil n mix well to form a dough .

on a wooden board or plain platform roll the dough as thick strings with palm smeared with oil n then form them into bangles . 

Heat a kadai with oil n drop it in hot oil one by one .. around 5 to 6  at a time n deep fry till golden brown !
