Green Peas Ghee Rice n Green Peas Koorma .
- Green Peas -1 cup
- Jeera Samba rice -1 cup
- Water -2 cup's
- Onion -1
- Cinnamon stick-1 inch
- Cloves -3 to 4
- Green Cardamom-3
- Black Peppercorns-1/2 tsp
- Bay Leaf-1
- Cashew Nuts-4 to 6
- Raisins-3 to 5
- Crushed Ginger-Garlic-1 tsp
- Green chilly-1
- Ghee -1 tblsp
- Salt to taste
Method
Chop onion n green chilly
In a pressure cooker add ghee , then add Cinnamon stick ,Cloves ,Green Cardamom ,Black Peppercorns ,Bay Leaf ,Cashew Nuts,raisins Then add chopped onion n fry till transparent , add crushed ginger garlic paste n fry for a few seconds , add chopped green chilly n stir again . Add rice , green peas n stir for few seconds ..add water n salt ..mix well n cook for 2 whistle .
Green Peas Koorma
- Fresh green peas ..1 cup
- Oil ...3 tsp
- Cinnamon .1 inch stick
- Cloves-3 or 4
- Onion -1 chopped
- Ginger Garlic Paste -1 tsp
- Green Chilly -2 Chopped
- Curry leaves -1 sprig
- Chilly powder..1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala powder..1/4 th tsp
- Coriander powder ..1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder -1/4 th tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Onion-1 Huge chopped
- Tomatoes-2 .chopped
- Saunf /fennel seeds-1tsp
- Grated Coconut -1/4 th cup
- Cashew nuts -5 to 7
Method
Pressure cook Green Peas just for one whistle ..drain n keep aside .
In a pan add oil n add the fennel seeds n stir well for few seconds then dd the chopped onion n When the color changes to pink n it turns soft add chopped tomatoes and saute well till the raw smell goes . Allow it to cool n grind all these along with grated coconut n Cashew nuts to a fine paste .
Add oil in a kadai and add the cinnamon, cloves n stir for few seconds then and finely chopped onion n stir till it turns brown in color,add ginger garlic paste n stir for few seconds ,now add the chopped green chillies , curry leaves n stir for few seconds . Add the ground paste n stir again for few seconds, then add all the powders along with salt n cook for a minute . Add the cooked green peas along with little water n boil well till semi thick . Mix well n then garnish with chopped coriander leaves .
