Tomato Onion Masala Upma
- Rava (Semolina )- 1 cup
- Ghee to roast Rawa - 1 tblsp
- Boiled Water- 2 cup's
- Chopped Coriander leaves - 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Seasoning
- Oil - 1 tblsp
- Mustard seeds -1 tsp
- Cumin Seeds -2 pinch
- Urad dhal - 1 tsp
- Chana dhal - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves- 2 Sprig's
- Green chillies- 4 , chopped
- Onion chopped - 1, big
- Tomato chopped -1, big
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Grated Coconut ..2 tblsp
- Lime juice - 1/2 tsp
In a kadai add oil splutter mustard seeds, then add cumin seeds , urid , chana dhal n roast for few seconds , then add chopped green chilles , curry leaves n fry for few seconds. Then add chopped onion n fry till pink , add chopped tomato n fry till the raw smell goes, add turmeric powder , add the roasted rawa , salt n mix well , now add boiled water, chopped coriander leaves n stir , to avoid lumps, allow it to cook ... Garnish with grated coconut n then add lemon juice n mix well
Matti Gulla Bajo/Seasonal Green Round Brinjal Besan fries
- Seasonal Mlorean Round green brinjal .. 1
- Gram flour/Besan ..1/4 th cup
- Hing /Asafoetida ..2 pinch
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed for batter ,
- Oil for deep frying
Method
Wash the seasonal Mlorean Matti Gulla n slice them .
In a bowl add gram flour, hing, salt n just enough water n prepare a not thin nor thick but medium consistency batter .
Heat oil in a kadai , dip the sliced brinjal into the batter n drop in the heated oil around 3 or 4 at a time n deep fry .
