Aaloo Methi

Aaloo Methi 

  • Potato ...3 medium 
  • Onion ..1 
  • Methi leaves ..1 cup heaped 
  • Chilly powder .. 11/2 tsp
  •  Turmeric powder ..1/4 th tsp
  •  Salt to taste 

Seasoning 

  • Oil.. 2 tsp 
  • Mustard seeds ..1 tsp
  •  Cumin seeds ..1 tsp  

Method 

Wash the potato ,peel n chop them into to slightly bigger chunks ( bite able  size ) . Parboil the chopped pieces .. 

Chop onion .

Wash methi leaves n tear them roughly with hands .

In a kadai add oil splutter mustard seeds n then add cumin seeds n stir for a while . Add chopped onion n then fry till reddish brown . Add methi leaves n let it cook till it Wilt's .Add chilly powder, turmeric powder,salt  n stir for a few seconds ,add parboiled potato pieces, little water,mix well n cook it covered in sim flame .
