Broken Wheat /Dalia Mushroom Biryani

Broken Wheat /Dalia Mushroom Biryani 
  • Broken Wheat /Dalia  - 1 cup
  •  Water ..2 cup's 
  • Button mushrooms -  1 packet
  • Sambar onions / shallots /small onions   - 12 to 15 counts 
  • Tomato. - 1
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp ( I freshly make them crushing a few Garlic flakes n 1/2 inch ginger ) 
  • Green chilly. - 2  
  • Curd - 1/4 th cup
  • Fennel seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Whole Green Cardamom - 2
  • Cloves - 3
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 handful
  • Mint leaves - 1/2 handful
  • Salt - to taste
Method 
Wash  mushrooms well n slice them . 

Wash the broken wheat .

using a rolling pin coarsely powder cardamom and fennel seeds. 

Peel sambar onion n chop them lengthwise ,Chop tomato n slit green chilies 

Roughly chop mint n coriander leaves 
In a pressure cooker add  ghee and oil , then add  bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, coarsely pounded cardamom and fennel seeds and saute for few seconds . Add the sliced shallots n fry till pink , add ginger garlic paste n fry for a few seconds , add slit green chilly n stir for a while , add chopped tomato n cook till mushy n the raw smell goes . Add turmeric  powder, coriander powder, red chilly powder n stir for a second . Add curds , sliced mushrooms, Washed broken wheat , stir for few seconds then add water, salt , roughly chopped mint n coriander leaves , mix well n then pressure cook for 2 whistles .  

Serve with raitha
