Little Millet /Same Akki Khara Pongal . Ladies Finger Gojju, Curds topped with lime pickle , Cucumber Kosambari n Ridge Gourd Tawa Rawa Fries .
Little Millet /Same Akki Khara Pongal
- Little Millet /Same Akki -1 cup
- Moong dal -1/2 cup
- Water -3 or 3 1/2 cups
- Ghee -4 tsp
- Mustard seeds.. 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder..1/4 th tsp
- Slit green chilles ..3
- Pepper corns-1 tsp
- Cumin seeds -1 tsp
- Curry leaves -2 sprigs
- Grated coconut-1/4 th cup
- Salt to taste
Method Dry roast little millet on sim flame till warm.. cool n then wash it .
Wash Moong dhal .
Pressure cook Dry roasted little millet n moong dhal for 2 whistle with turmeric powder .
In a kadai add ghee , splutter mustard seeds then add cumin seeds , pepper corns, ,slit green chilles n curry leaves, fry for a while n then add cooked stuffs along with salt n grated coconut n mix well .
Note : Add little water if its too dry .

Bhendekayi Gojju /Ladies Finger Gojju
- Bhendekayi /Tender Ladies Finger - 1/4 th kg
- Oil.. 2 tsp
- Tamarind - one big lump ( soak in water for about 1/2 an hour n extract the juice )
- Jaggery - Marble size
- Grated coconut ...2 tsp
- Vangi baath powder /Rasam Powder - 2 or 3 tsp ( i used Vangi Baath Powder )
- Oil- 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds-3/4 th tsp
- Urid Dhal..1 tsp
- Hing/Asafoetida ..2 pinch
- Curry leaves ..1 sprig
- Salt to taste .
Chop ladies finger into roundels .
In a kadai add oil , add ladies finger chopped roundel's n stir well , till crisp ..remove it ..
In the same kadai add oil n splutter mustard seeds,add urid dhal n stir for few seconds , add hing, curry leaves ,stir again n to it add the ground paste, jaggery , tamarind extract, the sauteed ladies finger roundel's , salt .. cook till the gojju thicken's.
Cucumber Kosambari
- Cucumber ..2
- Chopped Green chillies...4
- Salt to taste
Seasoning
- Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
- Hing /Asafoetida -a pinch
- Curry leaves-1 sprig
Garnishing
- chopped coriander leaves -2 tsp
- Lime juice -1/4 tsp
- Grated coconut.. 1 tbsp
Method
wash n peel the cucumber , remove the skin n chop them to 1 inch pieces . Chop green chilles .
In a bowl add chopped cucumber, green chillies, grated coconut , salt , chopped coriander leaves n mix thoroughly.
Heat oil and do seasoning ,add lime juice and stir well
Ridge Gourd Tawa Rawa Fries
- Ridge Gourd ... 1 , washed , peeled n sliced into roundels
- Red chilly powder ... 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder ..1/4 th tsp
- Hing/Asafoetida ... 2 pinch
- Rice flour .. 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Rawa /Semolina ...1 tblsp
- Oil.. little to tawa roast
In a bowl add red chilly powder , turmeric powder, hing, rice flour n salt add little water n mix well ...add the ridge gourd slices n mix well ..keep aside for sometime .
Heat a dosa tawa , drizzle oil..run the marinated ridge gourd slices over semolina n place on tawa side by side n roast on both sides .
