Ukde Seeth,Tingalavre Kolmbo adding Ambado ( White Navy Beans Sambar adding Sour Hog Plums  ),Karathe Talasani with Ambado ( Bitter Gourd stir fry with  Sour hog plums, ) Pagila/ Kantola Tawa Rawa Roast  n Curds .

Tingalavre Kolmbo adding Ambado ( White Navy Beans Sambar adding Sour Hog Plums  ) 
  • Tingalavre / white Navy Beans- 1/2 cup
  •  Potato- 1 
  • Ambado /Sour Hog plums - 2   
  • Sambar Powder- 2 tsp ( i used Nayaks Sambar Powder ) 
  • Salt to taste .
Seasoning 
  • Oil-1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig 

Garnishing 
  • Coriander leaves - chopped 2 tsp 

Method
Soak White navy beans for about 1/2 an hour . 

Wash , peel n cut potato into 2 inch cubicles .


Wash n slightly crush sour hog plums

Pressure cook both white navy beans , crushed sour hog plums n chopped potato for 3 to 5 whistles . ( dont over cook n make it mushy ) 


Add sambar powder ( mix in little water ) ,  to the above cooked stuffs along with sat n enough water for required consistency .Boil well n then do the seasoning 



Karathe Talasani with Ambado ( Bitter Gourd stir fry with  Sour hog plums ) 


  • Bitter Gourd ..2 medium 
  • Sour Hog Plums ... 3 
  • Oil ... 1 tblsp 
  • Mustard seeds .. 1 tsp 
  • Dry red chilly .. 3  
  • Jaggery .. Marble size 
  • Salt to taste .


Method 
Wash the bitter gourd's , scrap the skin roughly , n chop length wise into 2 inch pieces . Apply salt n keep aside for sometime .

Slightly crush sour hog plums .

In a kadai add oil, splutter mustard seeds , add broken dry red chilly n saute for a while, add the chopped bitter gourd pieces, fry for a while n then add the sour hog plums, little water , jaggery n cook till done .

Taste better when done in cast iron kadai . 


Pagila/ Kantola Tawa Rawa Roast  
  • Pagila/Kantola..4 
  • Red chilly powder.. 1 tblsp
  • Hing/Asafoetida ..2 pinch
  • Turmeric powder..1/4 th tsp 
  • Rice flour..2 tsp
  • Salt to taste 
  •  Semolina/Rawa ..1 tblsp 
  • Oil for shallow fry 

Method 
Wash the Kantola n slice them .

In a bowl add red chilly powder, hing, turmeric powder ,rice flour n salt . Add the sliced kantola n mix well ..keep aside for 5 mts . 

Run the marinated kantola in semolina .Heat a tawa , drizzle oil n place the marinated kantola side by side n roast on both sides
