Hasi Kadale Masala Usli / Raw Groundnut Spicy Masala .
- Raw Groundnut ...1 cup
To roast n grind to a powder .
- Oil..2 tsp
- Coriander seeds.. 1 tsp
- Chana dhal..1 tsp
- Dry red chilly ... 2 or according to the spice .
- Grated coconut...fresh or dried copra ... 1tbsp . ( no need to roast ) i used dry copra which was grated
- Salt to taste .
Seasoning
- Oil..2 tsp
- Mustard seeds .. 1/2 tsp
- Hing/Asafoetida..2 pinch
- Curry leaves..1 sprig
Method
Wash n soak raw groundnuts for about 1/2 an hour to 1 hour .
Pressure cook it for about 10 to 12 whistles till its soft but not mushy .discard the water .
In a pan add oil n roast coriander seeds, chana dhal, n dry red chilly ... once cool ,grind it to a powder with salt n grated coconut .
In a kadai add oil, splutter mustard seeds, add hing n curry leaves stir for a few seconds, then add the powdered masala n stir again for few seconds ..add in pressure cooked raw groundnuts n mix well .
