Double Beans Dry Masala Palya
- Fresh Double Beans- 1 cup
To grind to a semi coarse paste
- Coriander seeds- 2 tblsp
- Grated coconut- 2 tblsp
- Roasted Dry red chillies- 3 or according to the spice
- Garlic - 2 flakes
- Whole black peppercorns - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Season
- Oil-2 tsp
- Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Urid dhal-1 tsp
- Onion -1
- Turmeric powder- 2 pinch
- Curry leaves- 1 sprig
Method
Wash n pressure cook fresh double beans for 1 whistle ..dont discard the water .
Grind the ingredients meant to grind to a semi coarse paste with little water .
In a kadai add oil , splutter mustard seeds , add urid dhal n fry for a while ..add curry leaves , then add chopped onions n fry till transparent ... add turmeric powder . Add ground paste along with the cooked water , salt add the cooked double beans n cook till water evaporates completely n the masala turns golden in colour .
