Double Beans Dry Masala Palya 


  • Fresh Double Beans- 1 cup 


To grind to a semi coarse paste 

  • Coriander seeds- 2 tblsp 
  • Grated coconut- 2 tblsp
  • Roasted Dry red chillies- 3 or according to the spice 
  • Garlic - 2 flakes 
  • Whole black peppercorns - 1/2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp 
  • Salt to taste 


Season 

  • Oil-2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Urid dhal-1 tsp 
  • Onion -1 
  • Turmeric powder- 2 pinch 
  • Curry leaves- 1 sprig



Method 

Wash n pressure cook fresh double beans for 1 whistle ..dont discard the water . 

Grind the ingredients meant to grind to a semi coarse paste with little water . 

In a kadai add oil , splutter mustard seeds , add urid dhal n fry for a while ..add curry leaves , then add chopped onions n fry till transparent ... add turmeric powder . Add ground paste along with the cooked water , salt add the cooked double beans n cook till water evaporates completely n the masala turns golden in colour .
