Colocasia /Arvi leaves chutney 


  • Colocassia/ Arvi leaves - 1 huge tender leaf 
  • Tamarind - marble size 
  • Salt to taste 


To grind

  • Grated coconut-1/2 cup 
  • Roasted dry red chilles- 4 
  • Roasted urid dhal- 3 tsp
  • Roasted coriander seeds- 2 tsp


Seasoning

  • Oil- 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Urid dhal-1 tsp 


Method
Wash the colocassia leaf n remove the fibre . Chop it .

In a vessel add little water , add the chopped leaf , tamarind , salt n boil well till the leaves are soft n all the water is evaporated .Cool it .

Grind all the ingredients meant to grind along with cooked colocassia leaf to a fine paste without adding any water .

In a kadai add oil, splutter mustard seeds, then add urid dhal n fry till brown , add the ground paste n fry for 2 minutes . 

Serve with rice/rottis
