Matii Gulla Bharth Version 1 ( Seasonal Round Green Brinjal cooked in coconut based semi dry gravy ) 

  •  Round Brinjal's ( i have used the Mlorean Seasonal Matti Gulla ) ...2 


To grind to a paste

  •  Grated coconut ..1 cup 
  • Roasted dry red chilly ...4 to 5 
  • Raw Garlic flakes ... 4 to 6
  •  Tamarind ... Tamarind seed size 
  • Salt to taste 


Garnishing 

  • Onion ..1 chopped


 Method 

Wash , pat dry the round brinjal ( gulla ) apply a lil coconut oil n then place it direct on the flame ... roast evenly ..cool n remove the skin ...

in vessel mash it well adding little water ..keep aside ..

Grind grated coconut, roasted dry red chillies N tamarind to a paste n just before removing the masala add raw garlic flakes n just grind for a minute or 2 .. add this ground masala to the mashed brinjal , salt n mix well ..j

Just before serving add chopped onions .
