Togrikayi /Jeev Thori /Tender Fresh Thur Masala Upma

  • Fresh Jeev Thori /Togrikayi /Tender Fresh Thur -1/2 cup
  • Rava (Semolina )- 1 cup 
  • Ghee to roast Rawa - 1 tblsp 
  • Boiled Water- 2 cup's 
  • Chopped Coriander leaves - 2 tsp 
  • Salt to taste 

Seasoning


  • Oil - 1 tblsp
  • Mustard seeds -1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds -2 pinch 
  • Urad dhal - 1 tsp
  • Chana dhal - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves- 2 Sprig's 
  • Green chillies- 4 , chopped 
  • Onion chopped - 1, big
  • Tomato chopped  -1, chopped
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Garnishing

  • Grated Coconut ..2 tblsp 

  • Lime juice - 1/2 tsp

Method


Wash the fresh tender  thur  n pressure cook it for 3 whistle adding little salt  n drain well .Keep aside .

In a kadai add ghee n dry roast the rawa on low flame till it gives a nice aroma ... remove it on a plate .

In a kadai  add oil splutter  mustard seeds, then add cumin seeds , urid , chana dhal n roast for few seconds , then add chopped green chilles , curry leaves n fry for few seconds. Then add chopped onion n fry till pink , add chopped tomato n fry till the raw smell goes, add the cooked fresh tender  thur n roast for a while , then add turmeric powder , add the roasted rawa , salt n mix well , now add  boiled water, chopped coriander leaves  n stir , to avoid lumps, allow it to cook ... Garnish with grated coconut n then add lemon juice n mix well :)

Serve hot
