White Rice, Sukkale Batani ( Dried Peas ) Saar Upkari n Sweet Potato Spicy Tawa Roast.

Sukkale Batani   Saar Upkari  ( Dried Peas  Plain Rasam ) 

  • Sukkale Batani  / Dried Peas - 1/2 cup 
  • Green Chilles-2 
  • Salt to taste 

Seasoning 

  • Oil-1 tsp 
  • Crushed garlic flakes- 6 
  • Dry red chilly - 2 

Method 
Wash and soak dried peas  overnight n pressure cook it for about 4 to 5 whistle or till cooked .

In a vessel add the  cooked dried peas ,  slit green chilles, salt along with  water for desired rasam consistency n cook well . Then do the seasoning . 


Kananga /Sweet Potato Tawa  Fries 

  • Sweet Potato ..1 
  • Red chilly powder...3 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ..1/2 tsp 
  •  Hing/Asafoetida..2 pinch 
  •  Salt to taste ..
  • Rice flour ..1 tblsp
  • Oil ..just little for tawa fries .


 Method
 wash the sweet potato .Scrap the skin n cut it into roundels .

 In a bowl add chilly powder, turmeric powder, hing n salt ... Add the sweet potato roundels n  sprinkle little water ,mix well .  .. Set aside for about 10 mts ..

 Heat a dosa tawa,just drizzle oil ... Run the marinated sweet potato over rice flour n place it side by side on the heated tawa n roast on both the sides .
