Potato Masala Fry

 Potato Masala Fry

  • Potatoes  ...3 Medium
  • Butter .. . 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds..1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds..1/2 tsp
  •  Urad dhal..1 tsp
  • Chana Dhal.. 1 tsp
  •  Curry leaves..1 sprig
  • Green chilly.. 2
  • Onion ... 1
  • Garlic Cloves..4
  • Ginger .. 1/2 inch piece
  • Turmeric powder..1/2 tsp
  • Sambar Powder...1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder .. 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder..1/4 th tsp
  • Salt to taste


Method
Wash and peel potatoes. Chop them into  1 inch cubicle's .

Chop Onions , garlic cloves n green chillies .

Grate Ginger .

 In a Kadai , melt butter splutter  mustard seeds. Then add cumin seeds , after they crackle add urad dhal, chana dhal n when they change color add curry leaves, green chillies n fry for a while .Add Chopped onion n fry till reddish brown . Then add chopped garlic , grated ginger n fry for 2 minutes. Then add all the powders . Add the cubed potato, very little water, salt  n cook till done .

 Serve with Chapatti/Rotis./Rice
