Whole Black Skinned Split Urid n whole Emmer wheat / Jave Godhi Semolina Crispy Phanna /Seasoned Doddaka .


  • Whole Black Skinned Split Urid -1/2 cup 
  • Whole Emmer wheat / Jave Godhi Semolina -1 cup 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil -as required 
  • Mustard seeds ..as required .


Method 
Wash n soak whole black skinned split urid in enough water for about 3 to 4 hours. 

Grind it to a fine batter , add salt n ferment overnight .

Next day morning add Whole Emmer wheat / Jave Godhi Semolina to the ground fermented batter , allow it to sit for about  15 to 20 mts  . Add water if the batter is too thick ...but the consistency should be like idly batter . 

Heat a dosa tawa, add a tsp of oil, add 1/2 a tsp of mustard seeds n allow it to splutter . Add a ladle full batter , but do not spread too much ..Roast on both sides with sim flame till crisp adding oil at the edges .

Serve hot with pickle/.chutney .
