Chaney Ki Dhal Masale Waali


  • Chana Dhal - 1/2 cup
  • Water as required to cook the dhal
  • Salt to taste


To grind

  • Whole Dry Red chilles- 3 or according to the spice
  • Ginger- 1 inch piece
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Coriander seeds- 1 tsp
  • Pepper corns- 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds-1 tsp 
  • Black Cardamom - 1 small piece 
  • Cloves-4 
  • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece 
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp 


Seasoning

  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds- 1 tsp 
  • Onions - 1 Chopped 


Garnishing 

  • Lemon Juice- 1 tsp 


Method
Wash n soak chana dhal for about 10  mts n then pressure cook it .. 

Grind all the ingredients meant to grind to a fine paste adding little water . 

In a  kadai  add ghee , crackle cumin seeds , add chopped onions n fry till pinkish brown . Add the ground paste n fry well till the raw smell goes ..add the cooked dhal , salt n a litle water for a desired consistency , give a quick  boil . switch off and add in lime juice . 


Serve  hot with adding a tsp of ghee on the top .
