UkkaDambo.- Sweet , Spicy n Tangy Gointa Ambo /Small Sour variety Mango Gravy .
- Gointa Ambo/Small Variety sour Mangoes -12 /14
- Water as needed to cook the raw mangoes .
- Jaggery - 2 lemon size
- Freshly Coarsely crushed pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Freshly Coarsely crushed cardamom - 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method
Wash gointa ambo , retain the skin , dont peel it .. Make a few cut on it .
In a vessel add the whole gointa mangoes n water along with jaggery n salt ,boil well till mangoes are cooked . Just before switching off the gas add the freshly coarsely crushed pepper n cardamom . Mix well , cover n keep .
Note : This gravy is prepared in the evening n eaten the next day so that the masala will infuse well .
