Whole Wheat Butter Naan n Mushroom Rogan Josh ! 
Whole Wheat Butter Naan 
  • Whole Wheat Flour ..2 cup's
  • Melted Ghee..1 tblsp 
  • Curd ..3 tsp 
  • Dry Yeast .1 tsp 
  •  Sugar ..1 tsp 
  •  Warm water..1/2 cup 
  •   white sesame seeds .. 3 tsp 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Butter for brushing the naan 


Method 
In a cup add dry yeast , sugar n warm water n mix well ... keep aside for 10 mts , till it becomes frothy . 

Sieve whole wheat flour n salt .

In a bowl add the seived flour , curds, ghee , yeast mixture n knead  well to a soft elastic dough .  . Keep aside for about for 4 hours , covered with a lid , so that the dough will raise . 
After 4 hours , knead it again for 5 mts  

Divide the dough into medium sized balls 
Dust a platform n roll the dough ball into 7 inch circle for round naan n can even make oblong shape .

Sprinkle a few white sesame  seeds on it n gently roll , so that the sesame seeds  stick to the naan . 

Heat a kadai n then place the rolled naan on it n just for a second cook n flip over ..Then like phulka ,Roast them direct on flame... Apply butter to the cooked naan . 

Kashmiri Mushroom Rogan Josh


  • Mushrooms ... 1 packet
  • Unsalted Butter ..2 tsp
  • Water..1 cup 
  • Salt to taste 
Whole Spices
  • Cloves – 4 
  • Green cardamom – 5 
  • Black cardamom - 1
  • Cinnamon stick – 2 inch
  • Mace – 1 
  • Black peppercorns – 6   

To grind to a fine paste 


  • Tomatoes ..2  
  • Ginger ... 1 inch piece 
  • Garlic..6 cloves 
  • Curd ..1 tblsp

Seasoning 


  • Oil .. 1 tblsp 
  • Onion ..1 
  • Kashmiri Red chilly powder ..2 tsp 
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Cumin powder – ¾ tsp
  • Turmeric powder –1/4 th  tsp
  • Garam masala – ¾ tsp   

    Garnishing
    Chopped coriander leaves..2 tsp 

    Method
    Wash the mushrooms well n chop them roughly .

    Chop onion 

    In a kadai  melt the butter n then add the chopped mushrooms n saute for 5 to 8 mts. Take it out . 

    Grind all the ingredients meant to grind to fine paste . 
    In a kadai add oil then add the whole spices , let it sweat for a while , then add chopped onion n fry till reddish brown  . Add the ground paste n stir well n then add all the powders n cook for a minute . Add water n boil well , Now add the butter sauteed mushrooms n boil well adding salt . Garnish with coriander leaves . 

    Note: The gravy shouldnt be too think nor too thin ..Medium consistency .
