Phodnicha Bhaat
- Cooked rice..2 cups ( usually left over rice is used )
- Oil..2 tsp
- Mustard seeds ..1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds ..1 tsp
- Asafoetida /hing.. 2 pinch
- Onion ..1
- Green chillies ..2 or 3
- Curry leaves..1 sprig
- Turmeric powder..1/4 th tsp
- Salt to taste
Garnish
- Lemon Juice.. 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves chopped ..2 tsp
- salt to taste
Method
Chop onion n green chilly .
In a kadai add oil n splutter mustard seeds n crackle cumin seeds, add hing, curry leaves ,green chillies give it a quick stir then add chopped onion n fry till transparent then add turmeric powder n salt ..mix well . Add the cooked rice & mix well. cover and let it steam for about 2 mts . Switch off and do the garnishing .
