Broken Wheat/Dalia Bisi Bele Baath With Seasoned Raitha n Potato Tawa Rawa Fries
- Broken wheat /Dalia - 1 cup
- Thur Dhal-1/2 cup
- Groundnuts- 3 tsp
- Tamarind - Lime size
- water .. 4 cups
- Bisi Bele Baath Powder..1 tblsp ( i used MTR brand )
- Salt to taste
Vegetables
Chopped carrots, Beans, Potato, semebadane or any veggies of ones choice can add...1 cup
Green peas too ...1/2 cup
Fresh Double Beans ...1/2 cup
Onion chopped ..1
Tomato chopped ..1
For seasoning
Garnish
Method
Pressure cook chopped Vegetable's for just 1 whistle along with groundnuts n salt .
Wash broken wheat n thur dhal .. pressure cook it for 2 or 3 whistle's .
Soak Tamarind in water n then extract the thick juice . Add bisi bele baath powder to it n mix well n keep aside .
In a kadai add oil ,splutter Mustard seeds, add in cashewnuts , curry leaves, broken dry red chilly n stir for a while .. Now add the cooked broken wheat n dhal along with cooked vegetables, tamarind extract powder mix , water as for consistency , salt ..mix well n boil .
Just before serving add ghee on top.
Method
In a bowl add curds , churn it ,add salt n then season
Potato Tawa Rawa Fries
Wash n peel the skin of Potatoes n slice them thin into roundels .
In a bowl add the red chilly powder, turmeric powder, rice flour , hing ,salt n potato roundels .. mix well . keep aside for 5 minutes .
Run the marinated pieces over rawa .
Heat a tawa , smear little oil n shallow fry on both sides till crisp

- Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- Cashew nuts- a few
- Curry leaves - 2 sprig
- Dry Red chilly Broken ..2
Garnish
- Ghee- 3 tsp
