Navane /Foxtail Millet Capsicum Peas Lemon Baath .
  • Navane /Foxtail Millet - 1 cup 
  • Water -1-3/4 th cup
  • Fresh green peas-1/2 cup 
  • Capsicum -1 
  • Onion-1
  • Oil - 2 tsp  
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Chana dhal-2 tsp 
  • Urid dhal -1 tsp 
  • Curry leaves-2 sprigs
  • Green chillies - 3 chopped or according to the taste
  • Coriander leaves chopped- 3 tsp 
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 th tsp 
  • Lime juice- 2 tsp 
  • Salt to taste 
Method 
Soak chana dhal for 20 mts . 
 

Pressure cook peas for just 1 whistle 

In a kadai add the foxtail millet n dry roast it , not too much just warm is enough . this roasting aids in grain grain n not mushy baath ,cool it n wash it with water as to remove dirt n stones if any ....

 Pressure cook the roasted foxtail millet for 3 whistle . 

In a deep bottomed kadai add oil, mustard seeds , once it crackles add cumin seeds, green chillies,  curry leaves ,soaked chana dhal n urid dhal n saute for some time ... add chopped onions n fry till pink , add chopped coriander leaves n stir for a few seconds .then add turmeric powder .Add the chopped capsicum , cover n cook till soft . Add cooked peas , cooked foxtail millet ,salt  n mix well . switch off n add in  lime juice .. mix well n serve hot .
