Varahi Takka Surnali/ Barnyard Millet Butter Milk Dosa ...
- 2 cup's- varahi /Barnyard Millet
- 1 cup-thin phova (pounded rice )
- 1 tsp-Methi /fenugreek seeds
- 1 cup-Curds/buttermilk ( enough to soak)
- Salt to taste
Method
Wash Barnyard millet , phova and fenugreek seeds n soak them in butter milk for 4 hrs n grind it to a fine paste,remove the batter,add salt n ferment overnight .
Note - The batter has to b ground with curd/ buttermilk ..
Heat a dosa tawa , smear oil , pour a ladle full batter n swirl smoothly ..dont spread the batter too much .. cover the lid n cook on both sides ..
Serve hot with chutney !
