Kodo Millet Idlies .

Kodo Millet Idlies


  • Kodo Millet- 2 1/2 cups
  • Urid Dhal - 1 cup
  • Methi Seeds- 1 tsp
  • salt to taste


Method
Wash and Soak Urid Dhal and Methi seeds for about 4 hours .

Wash the kodo millet n soak for one hour separately .

Grind Urid dhal n methi seeds to a fine batter till fluffy and smooth . Remove the ground batter .

Grind the kodo millet to a smooth batter .

Mix both the batter with hands , add salt n let it ferment overnight .

Next day morning pour the fermented batter in ildy mould n steam for 10 to 15 mts .

Serve hot with sambar or chutney .
