Lotus stem masala with green peas
- Lotus stem-2 cut into thin roundels.
- Green peas -1 cup
- Milk-1/2 cup
- Onion -finely chopped-1
- Tomato puree -1/2 cup
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp
- Cumin seeds -1 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1/4 th tsp
- Red chilly powder-1 tsp
- Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
- Garam masala-1/2 tsp
- oil-2 tsp
- salt to taste
To garnish
- Coriander leaves chopped - 2 tsp
Method
Wash the lotus stem , peel the rough skin n cut into roundels .
Cook this lotus stem roundels in little milk .
Pressure cook green peas for 1 whistle .
In a kadai add oil , splutter cumin seeds , Then add chopped onions n fry till pinkish red . Add ginger garlic paste n fry for a minute .Add tomato puree n cook for a while . Add all the powders along with salt . Now add the cooked lotus stem n cooked green peas with little water n cook again ... finally do the garnishing .
