Methi Mutter Rice

Methi Mutter Rice 


  • Methi /Fenugreek leaves - 1 bunch 
  • Green Peas- 1/2 cup 
  • Onion - 1 
  • Rice- 1 cup ( i used Sona masoori  Raw Rice ) 
  • water- 2 cups 
  • Oil/Ghee - 3 tsp 



To grind to paste 

  • Grated coconut- 1/ 4 th cup 
  • Coriander leaves- 1 fist 
  • Green Chilly -3 or according to the spice
  • Ginger- 1/2 inch piece
  • Garlic cloves- 3 
  • Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp 
  • Cloves- 3 
  • Salt to taste 


Garnishing 

  • Lime Juice - 1 tsp 


Method 
Wash methi leaves well n chop them roughly . 

Grind all the ingredients meant to grind to a paste .

In a cooker add oil/ghee and then chopped onions n fry till pinkish red ... add the ground paste n fry for a while till the raw smell goes, add the peas with methi leaves n fry again for two or three minutes. Add the washed rice along with water n pressure cook for 2 whistle . 

Add lime juice n mix well 

Serve with raitha/ pickle ..
