Methi Mutter Rice
- Methi /Fenugreek leaves - 1 bunch
- Green Peas- 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1
- Rice- 1 cup ( i used Sona masoori Raw Rice )
- water- 2 cups
- Oil/Ghee - 3 tsp
To grind to paste
- Grated coconut- 1/ 4 th cup
- Coriander leaves- 1 fist
- Green Chilly -3 or according to the spice
- Ginger- 1/2 inch piece
- Garlic cloves- 3
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Cloves- 3
- Salt to taste
Garnishing
- Lime Juice - 1 tsp
Method
Wash methi leaves well n chop them roughly .
Grind all the ingredients meant to grind to a paste .
In a cooker add oil/ghee and then chopped onions n fry till pinkish red ... add the ground paste n fry for a while till the raw smell goes, add the peas with methi leaves n fry again for two or three minutes. Add the washed rice along with water n pressure cook for 2 whistle .
Add lime juice n mix well
Serve with raitha/ pickle ..
