Tomato Gojju - version 1

Tomato Gojju- version 1


  • Fully Ripened Tomatoes- 6 medium 
  • Oil- 2 tsp 
  • Dry red chilles- 2  
  • Hing/Asafoetida-a generous pinch  
  • Fenugreek /methi seeds- 1/4 th tsp 
  • Rasam Powder- 1 tsp 
  • Red chilly powder- 1/2 tsp or according to the spice 
  • Turmeric powder- 1/4 th tsp 
  • Jaggery - chick pea size 
  • Salt to taste 



Method 
Wash n chop tomatoes. 

Dry fry Methi seeds n powder it . 

In a kadai add oil, splutter mustard seeds, add hing, torn red chilly chopped tomatoes , salt  n cook well till the raw smell goes n it becomes mushy . Add rasam powder, chilly powder , turmeric powder, jaggery , methi powder n boil again .
