Tomato Gojju- version 1
- Fully Ripened Tomatoes- 6 medium
- Oil- 2 tsp
- Dry red chilles- 2
- Hing/Asafoetida-a generous pinch
- Fenugreek /methi seeds- 1/4 th tsp
- Rasam Powder- 1 tsp
- Red chilly powder- 1/2 tsp or according to the spice
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 th tsp
- Jaggery - chick pea size
- Salt to taste
Method
Wash n chop tomatoes.
Dry fry Methi seeds n powder it .
In a kadai add oil, splutter mustard seeds, add hing, torn red chilly chopped tomatoes , salt n cook well till the raw smell goes n it becomes mushy . Add rasam powder, chilly powder , turmeric powder, jaggery , methi powder n boil again .
