Raja Phanna Upkari /Mackerel cooked in Spicy Gravy ..Version 3
- Raju /Mackerels, cleaned and cut ... 6 to 8 pieces .
- Coconut Oil ...1 tblsp
- Onions -2 huge
- Chilly Powder.. 1 tblsp
- Tamarind -goose-berry size
- Salt to taste
Method
In 1/4 th cup water soak tamarind for about 20 mts n Squeeze tamarind in the water n discard the tamarind n retain the water
Chop onion finely
In a kadai add oil. Add chopped onion's n fry till it turns reddish brown .
Add chilly powder n stir for few mts .
Add the tamarind extract water ,salt n water .. bring to a boil . Add mackerels n cook for few mts
