White Rice, Dalithoy Cawliflower Potato n Drumstick's Podis/Fries 

Dalithoy 
  • Toor dal - 1 cup
  • Green chilly - 4  or according to the taste 

Seasoning 
  • Oil/Ghee -1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  •  Curry leaves - 1 sprig 
  • Dry red chillies -2
  • Hing/Asafoetida water- 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method
Pressure cook toor dal with 1 tsp of oil . It has to be cooked well ,then churn it . Add slit green chillies with salt n boil well .Add water for desired consistency ( medium , neither too thin nor too thick ) 


In a seasoning  pan add oil or ghee , Add mustard seeds , when they splutter add torn red chillies n curry leaves...add this to the cooked dhal n then add hing water . Mix well 

Cawliflower Podi /Fries 
  • Cauliflower florets - 10 /12 piece
  • Rice flour- 3 tsp 
  • Hing/Asafoetida ..1 pinch
  •  Turmeric powder ..1/4 th tsp 
  • Red chilly powder- 1 tsp
  • Water-1 tsp or a required 
  • Salt to taste
  •  Oil for deep frying 
Method 
Boil water n add cauliflower florets to the boiled water with salt n turmeric powder .. keep covered for sometime 

Drain the Cauliflower florets, pat dry and keep aside.

 In a bowl add Rice flour, red chilly powder, hing , salt .Sprinkle little water n mix well  , keep aide for 10 mts. 

Heat oil in a kadai n deep fry the marinated cawliflower florets few at a time.  

Batate Podi/Potato  Fries . 
  • Potatoes- 2 
  • Red chilly powder-2 tsp 
  • Rice flour- 1 tblsp 
  • Hing - 2 huge pinch 
  • Turmeric powder- 1/4 th tsp 
  • Salt to taste .


Method 
Wash potatoes n remove the skin  . Cut into roundels . 

In a vessel add red chilly powder, hing, turmeric powder along with salt . mix well n add the snake gourd roundels . Mix again n keep aside for about 5 mts 


Heat oil in a kadai , roll the marinated snake gourd roundels in rice flour n deep fry till crisp . 

Drumstick Deep Fries 
  • Drumsticks-3 
  • chilli powder-2 tsp
  • Rice flour-3 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste
Method wash the drumsticks n cut crosswise into 2 n1/2 inch long pieces..remove the fibre roughly .

In a vessel..add chilli powder,salt,turmeric powder n add d cut drumsticks.. sprinkle little water .. mix properly ..roll over rice flour n deep fry !
