Kultha Koddel with mittagallale Keerlu n Ambado ( Horse Gram cooked in coconut based gravy with brined Bamboo Shoots n Sour Hog Plum's )
- Kulithu ( Horse Gram ) .... 1/2 cup
- Brined Bamboo Shoots ..8 to 10 pieces
- Sour Hog Plum .. 2 or 3 crushed
- Salt to taste
To grind to a fine paste
- Grated coconut ... 1 cup
- Roasted dry red chillies... 6
Seasoning
- Oil..2 tsp
- Crushed garlic flakes ..8
Method
Wash horse gram n Pressure cook it for about 10 t0 12 whistles or till cooked ( dont over cook n make it mushy )
Soak brined bamboo shoot pieces in enough water overnight or for few hours n wash it as much as around 5 times to remove the access salt .
Roughly rush sour hog pulm . Pressure cook washed brined bamboo shoots
Grind grated coconut, roasted dry red chillies to a fine paste .
Add the ground paste to the cooked stuffs n boil well adding salt .
Then give the seasoning .
