Moong dhal Urid Idlies .
  • Yellow split Moong dhal- 1 cup
  • whole Urid dhal without skin - 1 cup 
  • Fenugreek seeds- 1 tsp 
  • Salt to taste 

Soak urid dhal along with fenugreek seeds n  yellow split moong dhal separately for 4 to 5 hours . 

Grind urid dhal to a fine paste ..remove the batter .

Grind yellow split moong dhal to a semi coarse paste . 

Mix both the batter and add salt ,ferment overnight .

Grease an idly mould and pour in the batter , steam for 20 mts.

Serve hot with Chutney /Sambar .

Note : in case split urid dhal is used then use 1.25 cups .
