White Rice, Dhavi Thori with Kadgi Koddel, Cauliflower Talasani, Coriander Leaves Gojju n Potato Tawa Rawa Fries

White Rice, Dhavi thori with kadgi koddel, Cauliflower  Talasani, Coriander Leaves Gojju n Potato Tawa Rawa Fries .

Dhavi thori koddel with kadgi - white bean cooked in coconut based gravy with Raw Jackfruit 
  • Dhavi  Thori ( White bean )- 1/2  cup 
  • Raw Jack fruit pieces - 1 cup 

To grind 

  • Grated coconut- 1 cup
  • Roasted dry red chillies- 5 
  • Tamarind- Tamarind seed size 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil-2 tsp 
  • Crushed Garlic flakes - 6


Soak Dhavi thori ( white  Bean ) overnight.
Wash the jack fruit pieces .

Pressure cook Dhavi thori /white bean till cooked n not mushy   .

Pressure cook raw jackfruit pieces for 1 whistle adding little salt .
Grind all the ingredients meant to grind to a fine paste .

Add the ground paste to the cooked stuffs n boil again . 

In a pan add oil n crushed garlic flakes n roast well till brownish red n pour this to the cooked gravy n mix well

Cauliflower  Talasani/ Cauliflower stir fry 
  • Washed , cleaned cauliflower florets -2 cups 
  • Salt to taste  
  • Oil- 2 tsp
  • Garlic flakes ... 6 to 8, crushed 
  • Chilly powder ...2 tsp 

In a kadai add oil, add crushed garlic flakes n stir it till brownish  .. add chilly powder, stir for a second , add  washed cleaned cauliflower florets .. fry for a while add in salt n little water , cook till cauliflower is cooked n the water evaporates .

  Coriander leaves Gojju 
  • Grated coconut- 1/4 th cup 
  • Coriander leaves- 1 cup 
  • Roasted dry red chillies- 5 or according o the taste
  • Tamarind-Tamarind seed size 
  • Jaggery - Tamarind seed size 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil-1tsp
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves-1 sprig 
Grind grated coconut, coriander leaves , roasted dry red chillies, tamarind, jaggery n salt to a fine paste n then do the seasoning .

Potato Tawa Rawa Fries ! 
  • Potatoes - 2
  • Red chilly powder- 2 tsp 
  • Turmeric powder- 1/4 th tsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tsp 
  • Hing /Asafoetida- 2 pinch 
  • Semolina /Rawa - 1 tblsp 
  • Salt to taste 
Wash n peel the  skin of Potatoes  n slice them thin into roundels .

In a bowl add the  red chilly powder, turmeric powder, rice flour , hing ,salt n potato roundels .. mix well . keep aside for 5 minutes .

Run the marinated  pieces over rawa .

Heat a tawa , smear little oil n shallow fry on both sides till crisp.
