Lasooni Dhal Tadka


Lasooni Dhal Tadka 
  • Thur Dhal ..1 cup
  •  Water .. 2-1/2 to 3  cups  
  • Onion...1  
  • Tomato...1 
  •  Garlic...4 cloves 
  • Turmeric powder..1/4 th tsp 
  • Green chilly ...2 
  • Salt to taste 
Seasoning 
  • Ghee...2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds ..1/2 tsp 
  • Garlic cloves chopped ...2 tsp 
  • Red chilly powder..1/2 tsp 

Garnishing 

  • Coriander leaves
Method 
Wash thur  dhal and soak it for 20  minutes in enough water.

 Chop onions , tomatoes , Green chilly n garlic cloves 

Pressure cook soaked dhal , chopped vegetables n turmeric powder adding water ... once cooked ,cool n  churn it  ... Add salt . 

 In a small  pan, melt ghee then  add cumin seeds and when they slightly change color, add the chopped garlic cloves n fry well till brownish , switch off the flame n then add red chilly powder and mix. pour this seasoning to the cooked dhal mixture n garnish . 

Serve hot with a bowl of rice
