Ada Pradhaman !

Ada Pradhaman ! 
  • Rice Ada  -  1 cup 
  • Powdered jaggery - 11/2 cups 
  • Grated coconut-2 cups 
  • Banana medium  -1
  • Ghee-2 tsp 
  • Cashewnuts and Raisins- a few 
  • Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp 
Method 
Wash and soak Rice Ada in water for about one hour . 

Boil it with enough water till its soft and cooked well ( takes about 20 to 30 mts ) n drain water.

Grind grated coconut and extract thick  and thin milk ( 1 cup thick coconut milk  n 3 cups thin coconut milk )

Melt jaggery with little water n strain it to remove impurities . 

Now add thin coconut milk , strained melted jaggery and cook the Ada again on low flame ... add mashed banana , n cook ... by now the payasam will be of thick consistency... add the thick coconut milk n give a quick boil..switch off .

In a pan melt ghee n roast cashewnuts n raisins ... n pour this over the payasam and then add cardamom powder n mix well .
