Green Gram Idly

Green Gram Idly  
  • Green Gram/Moong-2cups
  • Raw rice-1/2 cup
  • Ginger- 1 inch piece
  • Green chillies- 3 or according to the taste 
  • Grated carrots-1/2 cup
  • Green peas- 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste 

Method
Soak Green gram n rice together overnight .

Grind the above with ginger n green chillies to a semi coarse paste , add salt ...

Grease an idly mould ... place little grated carrots , peas n then pour a spoonful of  batter in each mould n steam for 20 minutes . 

Serve hot with sambar or chutney !
