Avarekalu Masala rotti with Cluster beans pound palya n Ghee

  •  Avarekalu -1 cup   
  • Rice Flour-2 cups
  • Grated coconut-1/2 cup 
  • Spring onions-1 bunch ( use only the green part )
  •  Coriander  leaves -1/2 cup
  • Onions -2
  • Sour Curds-1 cup
  • Green chilies –5
  • Hing/Asafoetida- 1tsp 
  • cumin seeds-1tsp
  • Turmeric-1/4 th tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method
Pressure cook avrekalu with salt .

In a bowl add Rice flour, salt, grated coconut, cumin seeds,turmeric powder, chopped green chilles,  chopped coriander leaves, chopped onions, chopped spring onion greens , hing, cooked avreaklu n curds .mix well to a dough n keep aside for 20 mts. 

 Heat a tawa , smear little oil , take a ball sized dough n place it on the tawa n pat with fingers  (dip fingers in water) n spread as thin as possible ...  on a medium flame n roast on both sides adding little oil to the edges .

Cluster Beans Pound Palya  

  • Cluster beans-2cups

  To grind
  • Gram flour /Besan-1 tsp
  • Grated coconut-1/2 cup
  • Cumin seeds -1 tsp 
  • Hing- A pinch
  • Green chillies-4 
  • salt to taste 

Seasoning
  • Oil-2tsp
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Hing-a pinch 
  • Curry leaves-1 sprig

Method

Grind all the  ingredients meant to grind .

Pound the raw beans till its broken and mushy.

In a Kadai and oil, splutter mustard seeds , hing, curry leaves n then the ground paste n fry till the raw smell goes and  the besan cooks well.

Add the pound mushy cluster beans , add water an cook well . 

Serve Rotti with this palya n melted ghee .
